Occasionally, I long for places I've never been. No, my mind resides in those unexplored realms, as if on a business trip, living this life in this world.

Never once has my existence felt comfortable. Like a corporate employee, I struggled to fit into the designated role by whittling away at my jagged edges, yet I only strained, never quite aligning effortlessly into that place, forever feeling out of sync.

If we were to liken 2019 to a human, perhaps it wasn't unlike that corporate employee? The unexpected arrival of a new and unwelcomed world—a species, humans, striving to adapt to that world's demands. The process was agonizing, perplexing, and fearful.

Just as there is yin where there's yang, mysteriously, those sensations unveiled a different perspective of the world. What we've so far deemed as 'advanced' in the West incessantly craved color in the presence of desires for 'individuality.'

In that moment, it seemed that what we needed was a vaccine of flow and harmony. Wouldn't it be the vitality of rhythm and balance? Under the title of '명리 (命理),' governing one's destiny, I embarked on this collaborative project.

Within the artwork, young Koreans are shaping a single waveform through gestures. Drawing from Eastern martial arts, this waveform embodies the original essence. Unlike Western art and movement, Eastern art, religion, and dance pursue the manifestation of spirit and energy, nurturing the mind and body.

Gestures of self-healing that create flow and waveform. Through these movements, they aim to display an entirely new generation exploring themselves, destiny, and the universe—a previously unseen world of nostalgie.

Let's flow together into this unexplored realm of nostalgie. Surrendering to this current might just allow us to reach new shores this time.
